Workplace Stress and How to Conquer It
Stress is a response to the demand of the work. Stress plays an important role sometimes to push individual to perform out of their boundaries. Stress is good for small bursts, but in a long-term stress can cause severe psychological problems and can contribute to the development of anxiety and/or depression and may cause an existing condition to worsen.
It is important to identify the signs of the work-related stress in early stages to eliminate its long-term effects. • Opportunities for workers to participate in decisions and action
• Commitment to ongoing team building and diversity initiatives
• Equitable pay structures and compensation
• Lifestyle management
• Participation in workplace quality improvement
Research shows that relaxing and meditation exercises are considered as more effecting in relieving the various psychological stresses like anxiety, depression, and pain. Bring the breathing and mindfulness activities or exercises in your daily life routine, this helps in enhancing the oxygen level in blood and helps in normalising the blood pressure. Never afraid to be vulnerable, share your personal and professional life managing stories with a friend, colleague, or family member, talking to your favourite person helps in terminating the stress. Finally trust and embrace yourself, get plenty of rest, go out and socialise with friends and family, be emotionally available for your loved ones and motivate yourself to keep moving.
